General Laborer

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Yard Laborer to support daily yard operations. This position involves loading and unloading materials, maintaining a clean and organized yard, assisting customers, and ensuring products are prepared for delivery and pickup. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, adheres to safety procedures, and can perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment.

• Load and unload concrete products, block, brick, pavers, sand, gravel, and other landscape materials.
• Assist customers and drivers with material pickups and deliveries.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided if needed).
• Organize, stock, and maintain inventory throughout the yard.
• Inspect products for damage and report discrepancies.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Assist with pulling orders and preparing materials for customer pickup or delivery.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform general labor tasks including sweeping, lifting, stacking, palletizing, and moving materials.
• Work collaboratively with yard personnel, drivers, and management to support daily operations.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• Good character and ability to talk to customers.
• Willingness to work outside all day performing labor tasks.
• Ability to be on feet all day, bend, lift, and carry heavy material.
• Experience with construction, yard work, and landscaping.

• Entry-level position but candidates must demonstrate good communication skills and physical stamina.

This role involves working outside in the yard, which can be hot or cold, and performing laborious tasks such as lifting and loading materials. The work schedule is structured with two openings: the first from Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (7:30am - 4pm with a 45-minute lunch), Saturday (7:30am - 1pm), with off days on Wednesday and Sunday; the second from Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (7:30am - 4pm with a 45-minute lunch), Saturday (7:30am - 1pm), with off days on Tuesday and Sunday. The dress code includes steel toe shoes, shorts or pants, and a plain colored shirt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Escondido, CA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
