SUMMARY
\nThe General Laborer supports production by assisting with machine setup, operation, cleanup, and quality inspections. This position plays a vital role in improving productivity, reducing downtime, and ensuring the highest quality output.
\n\n
RESPONSIBILITIES:
\nAssist in Production activities associated with running machines including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommend improvements to operations
\nVisually inspect completed units and contact Manufacturing Supervisor or Lead Person for suspect product.
\nEnsure proper placement of unit tags and cover sheets and correct stacking patterns.
\nMake neat units with proper number of bands on each unit.
\nMaximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
\nAssist Flexo Folder Gluer Operator and Flexo Folder Gluer Assistant with job duties on the machine.
\nWork as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity; decreasing downtime and waste.
\nAssume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor.
\nFollow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
\nOther duties as assigned.
\nSwitch duties with Flexo Folder Gluer Assistant as necessary.
\nComply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
\nMay be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
\nHigh School Graduate or GED.
\nBe passionate about maintaining a safe work environment.
\nMust be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
\nMust be willing to work the first, second or third shift as assigned by management.
\nProven track record of reliable attendance.
\nAbility to work in varying temperatures and volumes.
\nMust be authorized to work in the U.S.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
\nAt least 6 months of work experience in manufacturing, packaging, corrugated or other manufacturing industrial environments.
\nAt least 6 months of work experience as a Flexo Folder Gluer Helper, Die Cutter Helper, Corrugator Helper and Power Industrial Equipment Operator.

\nMust be willing to work closely on a day-to-day basis with other production personnel.
\nAbility to share ideas with others to solve problems of essential importance.
\nExcellent communication skills.
\nThrive in a cross-functional team environment.
\nWork with a sense of urgency to reduce downtime of machines.
\nStrong verbal communication skills.
\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
