Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking dependable and hardworking Industrial Plant Laborers for immediate temp-to-hire opportunities in West Tulsa. This position involves supporting daily plant operations, performing heavy general labor, cleaning around industrial machinery, and assisting with equipment maintenance in a physically demanding environment.

Candidates must be comfortable performing strenuous physical labor in hot, dusty, and confined environments. Daily responsibilities include shoveling debris, moving materials, cleaning around conveyors, and assisting with general plant maintenance.

The ideal candidate has previous industrial or general labor experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to workplace safety.

This is a physically demanding industrial position with significant overtime opportunities. Candidates must be dependable, willing to work extended hours, and comfortable performing hands-on labor throughout the shift.

Required Experience & Skills

Previous industrial plant, manufacturing, construction, or general labor experience preferred.

Candidates must be comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks, including shoveling, lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, and pulling materials throughout the workday.

Ability to work safely in hot, dusty, and confined environments is essential.

Candidates must be willing to assist with plant maintenance activities and follow applicable confined space safety procedures when assigned.

Strong attention to safety, dependable attendance, and the ability to follow supervisor instructions are required.

Previous experience operating forklifts, Bobcats, man lifts, or similar industrial equipment is helpful but not required. Training will be provided for applicable equipment.

Candidates must be willing and available to work overtime based on production needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform general industrial labor to support daily plant operations and maintain safe, efficient production areas.

Shovel debris, accumulated materials, and waste from designated areas around conveyors, machinery, and other plant equipment.

Use wheelbarrows, shovels, hand tools, and other equipment to move and dispose of materials throughout the facility.

Clean around conveyors, production equipment, and work areas to prevent excessive debris buildup and maintain organized operations.

Assist maintenance personnel with basic equipment cleaning, material handling, and general maintenance support.

Participate in assigned confined space activities when properly trained, authorized, and equipped.

Operate forklifts, Bobcats, man lifts, and other industrial equipment when appropriately trained and authorized.

Identify and report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, or potential workplace hazards.

Maintain clean and organized work areas while following all company safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.

Perform additional industrial plant labor and maintenance support responsibilities as assigned.

Industrial Plant Cleanup & Material Handling

Candidates will regularly perform physically demanding cleanup and material-handling tasks throughout the facility.

Responsibilities include shoveling debris, cleaning around conveyors, moving materials with wheelbarrows, and maintaining clear work areas.

This position requires consistent physical effort and the ability to remain productive throughout extended shifts.

Plant Maintenance Support

Assist maintenance personnel with general cleaning, material movement, and equipment-related support activities.

Candidates may help prepare work areas, remove debris, organize tools and materials, and support routine plant maintenance operations.

The ability to follow instructions and work safely around industrial equipment is essential.

Industrial Equipment Operation

Depending on operational needs, employees may receive training to operate equipment such as:

Confined space entry must be performed only after appropriate training, authorization, and implementation of required safety precautions.

Employees must follow company safety policies, use required PPE, and maintain awareness of hazards associated with industrial machinery, conveyors, and plant operations.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This is a heavy industrial labor position requiring significant physical activity.

Candidates must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.

Work involves repetitive shoveling, debris removal, material handling, and cleaning around industrial machinery.

The plant environment may be hot, dusty, dirty, and physically demanding.
