Job Summary:
Protech Staffing is seeking reliable and motivated Production Associates to support the manufacturing of high-quality interior and exterior doors. This position involves assembling door components, operating production equipment, performing quality inspections, and preparing finished products for shipment. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble wood door components according to production specifications.
- Operate production machinery, saws, presses, sanders, and other manufacturing equipment safely.
- Measure, cut, trim, sand, and finish materials using hand and power tools.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Read and follow work orders, production schedules, and manufacturing instructions.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products.
- Package and prepare completed doors for shipping.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas following all safety guidelines.
- Report equipment issues, quality concerns, or production delays to supervisors.
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality workmanship.
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, woodworking, cabinetry, millwork, construction, or production experience preferred.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring tapes, and basic shop equipment is highly preferred.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, twisting, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
- Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work overtime as production demands require.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- Exposure to wood dust, machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear.
- Overtime and occasional Saturdays may be required based on production needs.
