General labor

Loading & Unloading: Manually moving pallets, boxes, and crates of dry goods (e.g., chiles, spices, canned goods, and dry staples) from delivery trucks. Bilingual Skills: Given the nature of the products, conversational Spanish is highly preferred to communicate with drivers and cross-border teams.

Supports the culinary team by performing general cleaning duties, organizing inventory, and performing basic food preparation. They maintain sanitation standards, clean workstations, handle trash disposal, and provide support in general labor areas, ensuring the kitchen and warehouse operate efficiently throughout busy service periods.

Core Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Assist cooks by washing, peeling, chopping, and pre-portioning ingredients.
• Loading & Unloading: Manually moving pallets, boxes, and crates of dry goods (e.g., chiles, spices, canned goods, and dry staples) from delivery trucks. 
• Order Picking & Packing: Reading orders or pick tickets, pulling the correct Mexican products from shelves, and wrapping them for shipment. 
• Inventory Handling: Inspecting packaging for damage, labeling stock accurately, and assisting with regular stock/cycle counts.
• Facility Maintenance: Sweeping the dry storage floors, breaking down cardboard, and keeping safety aisles clear.

Key Requirements

• Physical Strength: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to \(50\text{ lbs}\) repeatedly.
• Equipment Use: Proficiency or willingness to learn how to operate manual and electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, and RF scanners.
• Bilingual Skills: Given the nature of the products, conversational Spanish is highly preferred to communicate with drivers and cross-border teams.
• Attention to Detail: Ensuring the right products are pulled and correctly labeled to avoid distribution delays.
