Road & Rail Services is hiring dependable employees for General Labor - Vehicle Shuttle Driver positions at our automotive operation in Lincoln, Alabama.
If you are searching for general labor, warehouse, automotive, production, driver, or entry-level industrial work, this could be a great opportunity to get started.
This is not a delivery driver or CDL position. Instead, you will work at an automotive facility where your primary responsibility is driving newly manufactured vehicles throughout the property and parking them in designated locations as they move through the processing and shipping operation.
The job is active, repetitive, and fast-paced. Throughout your shift, you will frequently get in and out of vehicles, walk between work areas, and work with your team to keep vehicles moving safely and efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of our general labor and vehicle operations team, your daily responsibilities may include:
Driving vehicles throughout the automotive facility
Moving vehicles from one designated area to another
Parking vehicles accurately in assigned spaces or rows
Following facility routes, traffic patterns, and parking instructions
Entering and exiting multiple vehicles throughout your shift
Checking vehicle identification and inventory information
Identifying and reporting visible damage or safety concerns
Communicating with leads and other team members
Keeping parking and staging areas organized
Supporting the overall flow of vehicle processing operations
Following all Road & Rail Services and customer safety procedures
What We're Looking For
You do not need a CDL or professional driving background to be considered.
Successful candidates should have:
A current and valid state-issued driver's license
The ability to safely operate and park passenger vehicles
Reliable attendance and transportation to work
A strong safety mindset
The ability to follow directions and assigned routes
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail when parking and identifying vehicles
A willingness to learn and work as part of a team
Candidates with experience in general labor, warehouse, manufacturing, production, automotive, material handling, outdoor labor, or similar hands-on positions are encouraged to apply.
