SURESTAFF is immediately hiring General Laborers for a manufacturing company in Brownsville, TX.
A successful Assembly worker should be comfortable working with metal pieces, using manual and electric tools, assembling components, and preparing finished products for shipment. This position requires the ability to lift and move metal pieces, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment.
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! This position offers a starting pay of $10/hour, as well as access to a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.
Available Shifts:• 1st Shift• 2nd Shift• Overtime may be available based on production needs
Responsibilities of the General Laborers:• Move various metal pieces by hand to the designated work station• Handle metal pieces weighing approximately 20–50 lbs.• Use manual or electric tools to attach hinges, levers, and other components to larger metal pieces• Perform minor assembly of metal components according to work instructions• Build cardboard boxes and load completed pieces into boxes for shipment• Tape and label boxes accurately for shipment• Palletize completed boxes for shipping• Maintain a clean and organized work area• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Required Qualifications of the General Laborers:• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, or production experience preferred• Ability to use basic hand and electric tools• Ability to lift 5–15 lbs. frequently, 20 lbs. occasionally, and up to 50 lbs. rarely• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift• Strong attention to detail• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions• Must be able to safely handle metal components
