Description

Pay Rate: $40 per hour
Location: Eagle Mountain, UT
Duration: 2-year Contract
Schedule: 7-on/7-off, 12-hour shifts (6:30–6:30); Tuesdays (handover) run 11:30–11:30

Summary:

  • Advanced technical expertise in automation systems supporting commissioning, startup, and operations for power and energy infrastructure
  • Specialized knowledge to support safe, efficient commissioning and system turnover

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate advanced technical expertise in automation systems
  • Apply specialized knowledge to support safe, efficient commissioning and system turnover
  • Support development and execution of commissioning plans and automation test protocols
  • Prepare and deliver technical briefings and post-event summaries
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of industry standards and commissioning practices
  • Interpret project risks and provide solutions to improve reliability and efficiency
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Operations, and OEMs
  • Serve as a technical lead for commissioning-related automation standards
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives and control system patching
  • Contribute to the Approved Manufacturer List (AML)
  • Provide field troubleshooting and real-time support for PLC/DCS/HMI-related issues
  • Drive continuous improvement across commissioning processes

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED and minimum eight years of experience in power generation, energy infrastructure, commissioning, or industrial automation
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as the top priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard field reporting tools
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise automation systems for configuration management

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • Solid understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), SCADA systems, and HMI interfaces
  • Experience supporting commissioning workflows and documentation tracking
