General Educational Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate, flexible, and energetic General Educational Assistant (EA) to join our elementary teams. In this role, you will work alongside classroom teachers to support student learning and supervise students during daily activities. Our Educational Assistants work up to 5.5 hours per day. While not benefit eligible, our support staff have full access to our onsite FPS Wellness Center where all services are FREE to the employee to support their well-being.

Work in the role includes, but is not limited to:

• Supervise students during non-instructional routines, including recess, lunchroom, arrival and dismissal.
• Promote positive behavior, encourage peer inclusion, and assist with conflict resolution on the payground or in communal spaces.
• Ensure student safety across all school environments (hallways, cafeteria, playground).
• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce concepts introduced by the teacher (reading, writing, math).
• Support teachers with classroom management and mataining a positive, focused learning environment.
• Willing to be trained to perform medical procedures such as care for diabetic students, administration of epi-pens, and supporting tolieting needs.
