Description

Ware Middle School is seeking an exceptional, highly qualified, and enthusiastic General Education Teacher (Grades 4-6) to join our community of teachers, learners, and leaders. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about building meaningful relationships with students, committed to high-quality instruction, and dedicated to ensuring that every child achieves academic success. The successful candidate will possess strong instructional practices in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, demonstrate a commitment to collaboration, and embrace a student-centered approach that supports learners with a wide range of academic and social-emotional needs. RESPONSIBILITIES The General Education Teacher will:

  • Conduct ongoing academic assessments and progress monitoring in English Language Arts and Mathematics to identify student strengths and areas for growth.
  • Utilize assessment data to provide targeted instruction and interventions that ensure all students make meaningful academic progress.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners by:
  • Providing small-group interventions for students requiring additional support.
  • Supporting English Learners through evidence-based instructional practices.
  • Remediating identified skill gaps.
  • Enriching and accelerating learning opportunities for students who are ready for more advanced work.
  • Establish and maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic achievement, positive behavior, and social-emotional well-being.
  • Support students transitioning from 45-day out-of-district assessment or therapeutic placements by providing a welcoming, structured, and supportive educational environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, special educators, specialists, counselors, and related service providers across grades 4-6 to ensure coordinated support for all students.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, community agencies, and outside professionals to support student success.
  • Attend faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, grade-level planning meetings, and other school functions.
  • Participate in the ongoing development and implementation of school improvement initiatives and contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the school.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Massachusetts teaching license for General Education Teacher (Grades 1-6) or appropriate licensure.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices, differentiated instruction, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).
  • Experience analyzing student assessment data to inform instruction and intervention.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and equitable learning environment where all students can succeed.

COMPENSATION $54,373 - $93,870, commensurate with experience
