EDU-AIDs is seeking a dedicated Second Grade Teacher for a full-time elementary school teaching opportunity in Columbus, Ohio. This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys working with elementary-age students and creating a positive classroom environment that supports academic growth, curiosity, and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with grade-level curriculum standards.
- Teach core second-grade subjects and adapt instruction to meet students' individual learning needs.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adjust instruction to support learning.
- Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, school administrators, families, and support staff.
- Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.
- Maintain classroom records and fulfill school-related instructional responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ohio teaching license appropriate for the assignment.
- Ability to plan and deliver instruction appropriate for second-grade students.
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching second grade or other elementary grade levels.
- Reading endorsement or additional literacy training.
- Master's degree in Education or a related field.
