POSITION TITLE
GENERAL EDUCATION TEACHER
SCHOOL HOURS, MONDAY-FRIDAY 7:30AM-3:00PMDEFINITION: The General Education is responsible for instruction on various subjects, including math, science ,and literature. Works with students in a classroom setting within a behavior environment.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Education Administrator, the General Education Teacher is responsible for instructing students in school from K-12. The teacher shall create lesson plans, administer praise and constructive criticism, instruct students on subject such as science, literature, and math and create a well-rounded, comprehensive instructional program.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. A bachelor's or master's degree from a reputed institute.
2. Should fit into the requirements for the job set by State, District and City.
3. If teaching a specialized subject, should have the qualifications for the subject.
4. Knowledge in technology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Teacher will operate as part of the Education Department to providing vision, leadership, and inspiration in planning, directing, and managing a comprehensive mental health system of care including, but not limited to:
- Create instructional resources for use in the classroom.
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities
- Create positive educational climate for students to learn in.
- Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions.
- Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year.
- Grade papers and perform other administrative duties as needed.
- Create projects designed to enhance lectures.
- Read and stay abreast of current topics in education.
- Create lesson plans.
- Utilize curriculum that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.
- Develop incentives to keep participants in class
- Develop professional relationships with other agencies and programs.
- Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met.
- Tutor students on an individual basis.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Prepare and distribute required reports.
- Observe and evaluate student's performance
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: PSCINC ensures the Teacher:
1. A North Carolina licensed or obtained 2 years' experience as an Educator
REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES: Reports to the School Administrator
Skills/Physical/Working Conditions: - Must possess a valid Driver's License.
- Must possess efficient computer skills.
- Must complete all phases of the pre-service orientation and trainings, including physical restraint training.
- Must possess the ability to perform physical restraint techniques. Position may experience verbal and/or physical aggression form population.
