General Education Instructor – Substitute
Location: Phoenix Campus | On-Site
Position Type: Substitute as Needed
Compensation: $28.19 – $35.23 per hour
Degree Requirement: Bachelor's Degree

Courses Available:
- Anatomy & Physiology
- Medical Terminology
- Microbiology
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and evaluate daily lesson plans including scheduled activities and sequenced materials.
- Plan instruction to achieve specific objectives based on student needs and established curriculum.
- Monitor student attendance and coordinate with the Student Services Coordinator, Associate Director, or Program Director when absences occur two days in a row; enter attendance daily.
- Review student success rates and implement plans to reduce withdrawals; maintain an 80% student success rate for all classes taught.
- Monitor student academic progress and notify the Student Services Coordinator, Associate Director, or Program Director when a student's grade average drops.
- Maintain student grades per established policies; prepare final grades at the end of each sequence to update student records and transcripts.
- Evaluate student performance and make necessary provisions to meet individual learning needs.
- Monitor students in the classroom; assist students and ensure all safety precautions are adhered to.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with education in the specific courses taught, from an accredited institution.
- Secondary education teaching credentials and teaching experience or adult education teaching experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
