What You'll Be Doing
- Examining patients and reviewing their dental and medical histories to fully understand their oral health needs
- Diagnosing oral health issues and creating treatment plans tailored to each patient
- Performing a wide range of general dentistry procedures, including fillings, crowns, extractions, and preventive care
- Reading X-rays and other diagnostic tests to guide your treatment decisions
- Helping patients understand their treatment options and easing any anxiety about their visit
- Prescribing medications when needed, following all applicable regulations
- Referring patients to specialists when a case calls for it, and coordinating care as needed
- Keeping accurate, up-to-date patient records in line with privacy and regulatory standards
- Following proper sterilization and infection control practices throughout the office
- Working closely with dental assistants and front-office staff to keep things running smoothly
- Jumping into mentorship opportunities and ongoing learning to keep growing your skills
- Staying in the loop on new techniques, materials, and technology in dentistry
What We're Looking For
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
- Active, valid dental license in good standing as required by the state of practice
- Solid clinical skills across a range of general dentistry procedures
- Great communication skills, both with patients and other dental professionals
- An eye for detail and a real commitment to quality, patient-centered care
- Good time-management skills to juggle a busy, varied schedule
- Comfort with dental practice software and digital imaging is a plus
- A professional approach to patient confidentiality and safety standards
