    Opportunity Overview 

    Kettering Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible General Cardiologist to join an established and collaborative cardiology team based at the Soin Medical Center

    This is an opportunity within a well-established practice offering a combination of inpatient and outpatient cardiology, supported by an experienced and collegial team of physicians and advanced practice providers. 

    The ideal candidate will be comfortable practicing broad general cardiology and performing cardioversions and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs)

    Position Highlights 

    • Employment: Full-time, hospital-employed position 
    • Primary Location: Kettering Health Soin Medical Center – Beavercreek, Ohio 
    • Specialty: General / Non-Invasive Cardiology 
    • Practice Setting: Inpatient and outpatient 
    • Outpatient Locations: Beavercreek and Springfield 
    • Springfield Coverage: Approximately 2 days per week 
    • Office Hours: Approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday 
    • Procedures: Cardioversions, TEEs, along with other "bread-and-butter" procedures 
    • Clinical Resources: EKG and echocardiography readings are needed  
    • APP Support: 2 APPs for inpatient support and 1 APP for outpatient support. 
    • Fellow Support: Cardiology fellows support night and weekend call and provide first-call coverage 
    • Call: 1:4, equal shared rotation among partners. Home-call model with night and weekend coverage

    About the Practice 

    The Soin cardiology team includes a mix of general and interventional cardiologists, creating a strong environment for collaboration and comprehensive cardiovascular care. 

    The physician will primarily support the Soin service area while also providing outpatient care within the practice's satellite locations, including Beavercreek and Springfield

    Clinical Responsibilities 

    The incoming physician will provide comprehensive general cardiology care across inpatient and outpatient settings. 

    Clinical expectations will include: 

    • General cardiology consultations and follow-up 
    • Inpatient cardiovascular care 
    • Outpatient cardiovascular care 
    • Cardioversion  
    • Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) 
    • Interpretation and management of common cardiovascular diagnostic studies 
    • Collaboration with interventional cardiology and other cardiovascular specialists

    Qualifications 

    • MD or DO degree 
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology 
    • Completion of a U.S. residency program 
    • Completion of an accredited cardiovascular disease fellowship 
    • Ohio medical license 
    • Comfortable performing cardioversions and TEEs 
    • H-1B visa candidates are welcome 
    • J-1 visa sponsorship is not available
