Pillar 1: Build AI-Powered Products
- Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models and Generative AI (GenAI) capabilities for cloud, edge, and on-premises environments.
- Create LLM-powered features such as operator copilots, intelligent alarm analysis, automated recommendations, and natural language interfaces.
- Integrate AI capabilities into existing smart building products and platforms.
- Develop scalable inference and deployment architectures for production AI workloads.
- Collaborate with software engineering and product teams to translate business needs into AI-enabled solutions.
- Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve model performance, reliability, and accuracy.
Pillar 2: Accelerate Team Capability & Velocity
- Identify and implement AI-assisted developer tools to improve software delivery velocity.
- Leverage AI for enhanced code generation, testing, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows.
- Establish and promote AI engineering best practices, standards, and governance.
- Mentor engineers on AI technologies, frameworks, and implementation strategies.
- Evaluate emerging AI tools and recommend adoption opportunities.
- Champion responsible and practical use of AI throughout the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with modern development practices.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying ML solutions.
- Proficiency in Python and common AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).
- Experience building and integrating Generative AI and LLM solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and production deployment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and prompt engineering.
- Experience deploying AI in edge or IoT environments.
- Knowledge of MLOps, model monitoring, and AI governance.
- Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS), industrial controls, IoT, or smart building technologies.
- Experience supporting Agile/Scrum development teams.
