    Introduction

    This role involves working collaboratively with the headquarters launch team and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of the incoming manufacturing line, focusing on long-term success for the company. The position supports machining processes through tool development, tool tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives in safety, quality, and productivity.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Experience in tooling and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) operations
    • Proficiency with CNC Mills
    • 5 years relative experience in CNC machining manufacturing
    • Effective oral and written communication skills
    • High production machining tool manufacturing
    • Gear blade grinding
    • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    • Lean Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing knowledge
    • Experience with programming Tool Presetters (Royal/Zoller)
    • 8D and 5Why corrective action and problem-solving skills
    • Familiarity with Lean Tools such as 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping
    • Experience with DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology
    • FMEA, PPAP, and DOEs experience

    Day-to-Day Responsibilities

    • Support machining processes with tool development
    • Implement GTSV tool tracking
    • Identify tool dominant features and implement proper control
    • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity
    • Complete all PPAP quality launch documentation
    • Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to improve manufacturing processes and products
    • Develop action plans to investigate and prioritize open issues and verify corrective actions
    • Lead and conduct process audits to ensure process discipline aligns with Powertrain guidelines
    • Create process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods and processes
    • Deliver capable processes and tools for all gear machining operations
    • Lead variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives
    • Ensure compliance with Plant, Corporate, Governmental, and Environmental standards
    • Support ISO 14001 compliance and internal ISO auditing
