YOUR IMPACT:

On the Product Definition Systems Modeling team within Gas Power Engineering, you will be responsible for the assembly and system integration of Gas Turbine System CAD models. Gas Turbine System Modeling integrates CAD designs from Compressor, Combustion, and Turbine Modules to deliver a full assembly of the Gas Turbine. This CAD assembly is used by GE Vernova for concurrent engineering, design in context and interface management. This PDE team partners with Gas Turbine System Engineering to develop Gas Turbine 2D cross-sections and lifting drawings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

You will join the world-class Product Definition team to develop new technical solutions, processes, and automation software for the Digital Thread. Collaborating closely with design engineering and manufacturing, the role focuses on solving challenging enterprise problems and effectively communicating solutions. The Product Definition Engineer will impact the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of their team, providing input into team priorities with moderate autonomy.

The role offers significant opportunities for technical growth, being mentored by team leaders and using existing and authoring new standard work to ensure both operational and technical excellence. As a component owner, this role will follow and champion strategies for continuous improvements and problem-solving, adhering to business KPIs. They will utilize established technical training plans to align individual work to team priorities and overall business goals. Utilizing judgement to solve task-based issues, this role will have a voice to add new perspectives on existing solutions, leveraging their education and experience to support recommendations. This role requires on site learning and adherence to Lean methodologies, emphasis on Standard Work, to contribute towards strategy and policy development.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 2D cross sections, 3D models, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection
• Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
• Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
• Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
• Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
• Establishes and maintains consistency of a product's performance, functional and physical attributes with its requirements, design, operational information, and manages changes throughout the system life cycle. Provides visibility and control of the system performance, functional and physical attributes. Verifies that a system performs as intended, and is identified and documented in sufficient detail to support its projected life cycle. Facilitates orderly management of system information and system changes for such beneficial purposes as to revise capability; improve performance, reliability, or maintainability; extend life; reduce cost; reduce risk and liability; or correct defects.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's of Science Degree in Engineering or a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum 0-1 year of relevant experience in engineering and/or manufacturing.

Eligibility Requirements

• The required work location is Greenville, SC (relocation assistance is available)

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with NX or another advanced CAD platform
• Experience with Dassault ENOVIA or Siemens Teamcenter PLM system
• Experience in Gas Turbine/Power Generation industry
• Strong written and oral communication to all levels of the organization

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $72,000.00 and $108,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
