About the Facility – Evans Army Community Hospital

Evans Army Community Hospital is a state-of-the-art military medical center serving the Fort Carson community, including active-duty service members, retirees, and their families. As part of the Defense Health Agency, Evans ACH delivers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care across a wide range of specialties including primary care, surgery, radiology, gastroenterology, physical therapy, behavioral health, and women’s services. Responsibilities

• Assist with routine endoscopic procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, pH/manometry testing, hydrogen breath analysis, liver biopsies, and PEG/PEG-J placement
• Assist with emergency GI procedures including GI bleeds, food obstructions, and foreign body obstructions
• Screen, check in, and escort patients to treatment areas; prepare rooms and patients for examinations
• Take, monitor, and record physiological measurements; triage urgent needs
• Prepare and administer medications under supervision of a nurse or healthcare provider
• Assemble, maintain, clean, disinfect, and operate medical and diagnostic equipment
• Maintain training and certification for High-Level Disinfection (HLD) of endoscopic equipment
• Monitor patients receiving moderate/conscious sedation including cardiac monitoring, respiratory status, and hemodynamic stability
• Document all patient care activities accurately within the electronic medical record; maintain supply inventory

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of a medical assisting program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES; or certification through AAMA (CMA) or AMT (RMA); or equivalent military training.
• Experience: Minimum 12 months of bedside hospital experience within the past 24 months.
• Certifications: BLS required.
• Licensure: N/A (non-credentialed position).
• U.S. Citizenship required

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts between 0600–1800. Starting times may vary based on clinic needs.
