Gas Turbine Technician/Specialist – Power Innovation (Commissioning)
Location: Bowling Green, Ohio
Employment Type: Contract (12 Months)
Work Setting: Onsite
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (7 Days On / 7 Days Off)
Shift: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM

The Gas Turbine Technician/Specialist is responsible for supporting commissioning, startup, testing, troubleshooting, and operational readiness of industrial gas turbine systems and power generation assets. The role requires expertise in commissioning procedures, FAT/SAT coordination, system turnover, root cause analysis, and safe execution of commissioning activities across complex energy infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
Support commissioning, startup, and operational readiness of gas turbine systems.
Execute commissioning plans, procedures, and testing protocols.
Coordinate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
Perform systemization and punch-list verification activities.
Complete commissioning records, documentation, and technical reports.
Review commissioning test results and technical reports.
Prepare commissioning readiness reviews and technical presentations.
Support system turnover activities.
Diagnose gas turbine equipment failures and perform root cause analysis.
Recommend and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
Coordinate with engineering, operations, and project teams.
Utilize diagnostic equipment and mechanical hand tools.
Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
Perform additional commissioning and startup activities as required.

Required Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience maintaining or troubleshooting industrial gas turbine engines.
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience supporting commissioning and startup activities.
Experience executing commissioning procedures and test protocols.
Experience with FAT/SAT coordination.
Experience with system turnover and punch-list closure.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Valid State Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Ability to work onsite in Bowling Green, OH.
Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, overtime, nights, holidays, and travel as required.
Ability to work safely in industrial environments, elevated areas, confined spaces, and varying weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications
Associate Degree or Technical Degree.
Experience with Siemens SGT-800 Gas Turbines.
Experience with Siemens A-35 Gas Turbines.
Power Plant Commissioning experience.
EPC or Utility commissioning experience.
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) experience.
Electrical Substation commissioning experience.
Power Generation startup experience.
OEM Field Service experience.
Mechanical diagnostic equipment experience.
