Akkodis is seeking a Gas Settlements Analyst II for a Contract job with a client in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate must have experience in finance, energy operations, or settlements analysis, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $47/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Gas Settlements Analyst II job responsibilities include:
Ensure the accurate recording and reconciliation of gas revenues, costs, customer transactions, and settlement activities.
Investigate and resolve errors related to customer account setup, account terminations, consumption reporting, invoicing, and billing activities.
Review and validate gas supply and transportation invoices to ensure accuracy and timely payment processing.
Analyze scheduled pipeline volumes against monthly transportation statements and coordinate with Scheduling and Trading teams to resolve discrepancies.
Prepare and maintain Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) schedules, variance analyses, reconciliations, and financial reports.
Obtain and provide financial and statistical information to support SOX compliance, audits, regulatory reporting, and business requirements.
Monitor compliance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements while supporting financial controls and reporting processes.
Maintain system data integrity by updating, reviewing, auditing, and validating business system information.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in: Accounting, Financial Analysis, Energy Settlements, Revenue Accounting, Operations Analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficiency with: Microsoft Excel, Financial Reporting, Data Analysis, Reconciliation Processes
Understanding of: Natural Gas Markets, Pipeline Operations, Transportation Settlements, Energy Industry Processes
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced business environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with: Energy Trading Systems, Scheduling Systems, Settlement Operations, Utility or Energy Industry Accounting
Knowledge of: SOX Compliance, Regulatory Reporting, Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Processes, Financial Controls
Experience working with natural gas transportation and supply operations.
Familiarity with contract analysis and regulatory compliance requirements.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $47.00 per hour
