Gas Storage Engineer / Geologist

Buffalo, NY

National Fuel is seeking a Gas Storage Engineer / Geologist for an outstanding career opportunity in our Engineering Services department at our Williamsville, NY headquarters. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support management of the Storage Integrity Management Plan (STIMP) and valve replacement program at various well sites.
• Collect, review, and analyze various data streams for completeness, trends, and compliance.
• Contribute to the continued development, execution, and documentation of the STIMP to ensure regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with Gas Storage department and field Operations personnel in implementation and adherence to integrity programs.
• Perform other scheduled duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Geology or Engineering required; Petroleum Geology, Mechanical Engineering or Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of basic open-hole and cased-hole log analysis.
• Experience supporting the continued development, execution, and documentation of integrity management plans.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in gas storage or exploration and production.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working with gas wells.
• Database management experience.
• Project management experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $108,000

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
