The starting pay is $20/hr. for new technicians up to $23/hr. for those with substantial prior experience.

Gas Service Technicians will be required to identify, classify, and document abnormal operating conditions on natural gas distribution and transmission systems. Through visual inspection, identify corrosion on gas meter sets. Using advanced systems, equipment, and technology, investigate and pinpoint potential above and below ground leaks in an assigned area. While performing routine and specially requested patrols, technicians will utilize their training to recognize urgent situations to help safeguard the community. Technicians will also be required to report on time to assigned areas daily and accurately maintain data in a system of records.

We are currently hiring throughout the Angola area.

These are daytime, full-time positions and overtime may be required. Instructor led training will be provided. This position may require you to work weekends.

What We Need from You (Our Requirements):

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Previous outdoor experience is a plus
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
• Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position)
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bend and stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners. Customer service experience is a plus
• Proficiency with technology
• Ability to use simple hand tools
• Ability to read utility maps
