The ideal candidate is an experienced Accounting Manager with a strong background in Gas Marketing, Midstream, Energy Trading, or Commodity Accounting. This individual will possess extensive knowledge of GAAP, natural gas settlements, contract accounting, financial reporting, and ETRM systems while leading high-performing accounting teams in a fast-paced commercial environment.
Must possess:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA Certification
• Strong experience in Gas Marketing Accounting or Midstream Accounting
• Experience leading Accounting or Settlement teams
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with Natural Gas Purchase & Sales Accounting
• Experience interpreting commercial contracts and pricing terms
• Experience leading monthly close and financial reporting
• Experience with ETRM systems (TIES, Allegro, RightAngle, or similar)
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
• Experience with audit support, process improvements, and internal controls

The Gas Marketing Accounting Manager will lead settlement accounting and financial reporting activities supporting natural gas marketing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting, contract settlement, regulatory compliance, internal controls, financial reporting, and continuous process improvement while leading a team of accounting professionals.
The successful candidate will partner closely with Marketing, Trading, Commercial Operations, Finance, and Leadership to support commercial activities and deliver timely financial information.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead Gas Marketing settlement accounting operations
• Supervise settlement accounting professionals
• Manage monthly financial close and reporting
• Review natural gas purchase and sales settlements
• Interpret commercial contracts and pricing terms
• Ensure GAAP compliance
• Lead financial analysis and reporting
• Maintain strong internal controls
• Support internal and external audits
• Improve accounting processes through automation and standardization
• Collaborate with Marketing, Trading, Commercial, and Finance teams
• Analyze financial performance and operational results
• Prepare management reports and presentations
• Monitor accounting policies and regulatory compliance
• Develop accounting procedures and best practices
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities

Required Qualifications
