Garage Mechanic - Heavy Duty / Truck / Trailer - 3rd Shift

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 12:00 AM-8:00 AM

Pay: $31.30-$34.67/hour, based on experience

Job Duties & Responsibilities

- Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, straight trucks, and box trucks.
- Perform scheduled vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure compliance with DOT standards and safe operation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic equipment and complete necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate repair logs, vehicle maintenance records, and required paperwork.

Required Skills & Experience

- Valid Pennsylvania Class A OR Class B Commercial Driver"s License (CDL).
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems with heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and commercial vehicles.
- Knowledge of DOT standards and vehicle safety regulations.
- Ability to handle physical job demands, including frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds; must pass a DOT drug screening and physical.

Preferred Skills & Experience

- Class A Mechanic certification and Pennsylvania State Inspection License.
- Diesel engine experience and knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
