Game Worker - High School Athletics
Position Summary
The Game Worker assists with the successful operation of high school athletic events by providing support before, during, and after games. This is an as-needed, event-based position and may include working evenings and weekends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with event setup and breakdown before and after athletic contests.
- Help prepare athletic facilities, equipment, and game areas.
- Assist coaches, officials, athletic staff, and spectators as needed.
- Operate or assist with the scoreboard, game clock, ticket sales, admissions, or other game-day duties as assigned.
- Monitor entrances and help ensure spectators follow school and athletic event guidelines.
- Provide general customer service and assistance to students, families, and visitors.
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment.
- Follow all district, school, and athletic department policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or designee.
Qualifications
- Must be dependable, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with staff, students, officials, and the public.
- Previous experience working athletic events is preferred but not required.
- Must be available to work assigned athletic events, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to successfully pass a required background check.
