GA Research Support departmental research by assisting faculty with study design, data collection, and analysis; contributing to literature reviews and manuscript or grant preparation; maintaining compliance with ethical and institutional research standards; and, where applicable, mentoring undergraduate research assistants.
GAT of Record
GAToRs who are instructors of record have primary responsibility for teaching a course for credit or noncredit and/or for assigning final grades for the course. In order to qualify to be an instructor of record as a GAT, the graduate student must have earned a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the field in which she or he will be teaching. Although instructor of record, the GAToR must work under the direct supervision of a faculty member experienced in the teaching field, receive regular in-service training, and be regularly evaluated. Teaching assistants who are new Instructors of Record are required to successfully complete the A&M-Commerce Teaching Academy.
