    Job Description

    GAR

    Graduate Assistant Research (GAR) assistantships require recipients to aid in the research with the department/professor to which they are assigned. Work may also include tasks such as assisting with labs, offering teaching support, assisting faculty with research, preparing reports, entering data or other responsibilities as assigned. 

    The duties of a full-time GAR require a maximum of 20 hours of work per week. Minimum GA requirements are:

    ·        Full/Conditional Admission to Texas A&M University-Commerce master, specialist or doctoral

             program

    ·        A minimum of six hour of registration

    ·        Good academic standing

    ·        Successful completion of Responsible Conduct in Research and Scholarship training through CITI.
