Mainframe Programmer AnalystThe Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Information Technology is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Mainframe Programmer Analyst in Atlanta, Georgia.This position is responsible for providing system maintenance and enhancements for the DHS Special Projects Team.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applicationsInterface with business and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate business requirements into formal technical requirements and application code.Work with IT support teams (ex. DBA's) to ensure support and project requirements are developed and successfully implementedDevelop and execute unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes meet technical specifications.Work with business team to complete acceptance testing and participate in integration testingResponsible for full System Development Life CycleOn-call production supportRequired Job Experience:Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field10+ years of experience in mainframe development10+ years and expert knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM and other mainframe technologiesExpert knowledge of DB2 Utilities (QMF and SPUFI)Strong knowledge of IBM Utilities such as IEBGENER, IDCAMS, ICETOOL, DEBUGGER(CICS and Batch), FILE MANAGER, SORT, Fault AnalyzerExperience in all components of software delivery including requirements, design, development, and testingExperience with CHANGEMAN and CONTROL-M SchedulingExcellent problem-solving and troubleshootingExperience with mainframe software development tools and platforms (z/OS)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust be a team player
