FWS- World Languages & Cultures Program General Assistant

Title of Position: FWS-World Languages & Cultures Department General Assistant

Department Name, location of department: Department of World Languages and Cultures, World Language and Cultures Building and CLIC, AuCoin Hall

Student will assist World Languages & Cultures faculty with duties that include but are not limited to:

• Scanning and copying
• Creating flyers and other basic graphic desig
• Organize program bulletin boards and shared faculty/student areas
• Assist in research related to our programs
• Other general administrative or research duties
• Social media creation and management for department

Required:

• Strong organizational skills
• Familiarity with computer and web-based programs such Word, Google Docs, Google Slides/Powerpoint
• Ability to work independently

Desired:

• Advanced language skills in a language that we teach
• Familiarity with social media content creation/editing and posting (e.g. Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)

Length of employment: October 2, 2026-May 15, 2027
