Title of Position: FWS - Interlibrary Services Assistant II

Location: Tran Library, Forest Grove Campus

Purpose of Position: Processing library materials that will be sent to other libraries and Pacific patrons.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Do you have excellent attention to detail? Would you enjoy working in a quiet and friendly environment, doing behind-the-scenes work? Come work with us in Interlibrary Loan at Tran Library!

Typical daily tasks that require a high level of attention to detail include:

  • Getting library materials from the shelves
  • Checking library materials out and in
  • Scanning journal articles
  • Physically packaging and sending library materials in the mail
  • Following confidentiality and copyright laws

Training provided in all aspects of the position and supervisor support is available at all times. May require repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms; pulling books and journals off multi-level shelving; pushing book carts; operating scanner and other office equipment. Accommodations can be made as needed.

This is a work-study position that offers up to 6 hours a week between the hours of 8:30 am and 4 pm, Monday - Friday. Please include detailed work availability with application.

Length of Employment: Full academic year position. January is optional.

Wage Rate: $17.30

General Qualifications: Strong aptitude for detailed work, problem solving, and patience with repetitive tasks. Basic computer skills, ability to learn a variety of library-specific computer programs. High level of self-motivation, able to work independently and as a team member.
