This position is only open to current Pacific University Students

Location: Off Campus at Forest Grove Community School (1914 Pacific Avenue, Forest Grove)

Wage: $16.80/hr

Length of employment: 2026-27 academic year

Purpose of Position: We are a small charter school that serves students in grades 1 through 8. We have a unique educational program that emphasizes experiential education and supports the development of scholarship, stewardship and citizenship skills in our students.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide general classroom support for teachers. We serve students in grades 1 through 8. This position may work with any of these grades.

  • Assist teacher(s) in preparing materials, teaching aids, bulletin boards and equipment for direct instructional activity, including locating, copying, collating, distributing, and/or grouping materials supporting instructional activities planned by the teacher.
  • Assist the teacher in preparing for changing curriculum to meet the needs of students with diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
  • Assist teachers and other staff in maintaining a clean and orderly environment for students.
  • Check objective tests and mark errors but not assign a score.
  • Lead small group activities/lessons, following appropriate training.

Hours are flexible but must be during school hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:10)
