KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs minor repair on top of surface of case pieces and tables.â¯â¯â¯
- Performs solid color paper/side refinishes.â¯
- Performs small corner damages that require rebuild.â¯â¯
- Has general understanding of spray booth set up and use.â¯â¯
- Performs advance replacement part repairs.â¯
- Communicates any maintenance of tools, parts and hardware needed as well as keeping repair area/shop clean.â¯
- Help to inspect damaged products and convey them if they can be repaired to like new conditions.â¯
- Works with warehouse personnel on techniques of minor touch up on products during the inspection process.â¯
- Documents and follows through on reoccurring product damages.
- Notify the Guest Response Team and DC Manager of repeated item issues.
- Complete upholstery repair including mechanism replacement.
- Assist other technicians.â¯
- Accurately reports situations that occur when repairs cannot be completed.â¯
- Must be able to assess damages to determine the most efficient way to repair them.â¯
- Identifies damage, loss or surplus of goods and materials stored in the warehouse.â¯

- Follow all OSHA and Company established safety rules and procedures.â¯â¯
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- 1 year practical work experience in furniture repair including upholstery, leather repairs and wood refinishing
- Able to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office products and ability to learn in-house computer programs.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to
adjust focus to read reports, view computer screen, etc.
- Must be able to hear and understand speech to interact with others.
- Must be able to speak so that others will be able to understand.
- Will remain in a seated position for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with both hands to include keyboarding,
handwriting, office/POS equipment and handheld equipment operation.
- Will remain on one’s feet in an upright position and move about on foot.
- Will bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach at or above
shoulder level.
- Will lift and carry objects up toâ¯50 pounds and more with assistance.
- Will work predominately in a warehouse environment; occasional work at
new retail locations under construction. Potential exposure to oil, latex, and spray paint, household chemicals,
biological odors and household dusts; moderate office noise.
- Understand and maintain all safe work practices and rules.
- Other duties as assigned, essential or otherwise.
