Job Description:
To assure iron is ready and available for molding lines and to maintain raw material supplies and
various iron vessels.
1. Operate the necessary furnace equipment to melt raw iron to proper pouring temperatures
and within quality specifications.
2. Fill ladles for pourers in accordance with production schedule and customer requirements
to assure quality standards are met.
3. Work with supervisory and management personnel to help identify and reduce incidents
of scrap.
4. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
5. Perform work in a safe manner in accordance with established safety guidelines.
6. Maintain appropriate attendance record.
Requirements:
-High School Diploma, HSED or GED, or solid work history.
-Will train in foundry specific safety issues
-Will train in industry specific business issues
-Will train in machine operation specific issues
-Prior work in a production or process driven environment - Furnace experience preferred
-Forklift experience or ability to train to learn forklift driving
