Description of Job

The salary range for this position is:

$23.28 - $31.49 Hourly

$1,862.77 - $2,519.54 Biweekly

$4,036.00 - $5,459.00 Monthly

This work unit exists to prevent and mitigate petroleum contamination to protect human health and environment; to encourage petroleum storage tank owners and operators to comply with petroleum storage tank laws and regulations; to ensure that petroleum contamination is cleaned up in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements; to provide financial assistance through expeditious reimbursement of costs of remediation to persons who clean up petroleum contamination and are eligible for reimbursement of those costs from Colorados Petroleum Storage Tank Fund; and to maintain the financial integrity of the Fund by ensuring that only eligible persons and allowable costs are reimbursed.

This position exists to perform initial reviews of reimbursement applications submitted to the Petroleum Storage Tank Fund promptly to avoid accruing interest charges, to ensure that only allowable costs are reimbursed, to ensure that duplicate requests are not reimbursed, and to ensure that work for which reimbursement is sought was necessary for the remediation of petroleum contamination. This position will process reimbursement applications electronically using the Economic Feasibility Summary/electronic Reimbursement Application (EFS/eRAP) process. This position also assists with ensuring tank owner and operator compliance with Federal and State Financial Responsibility regulations, as well as with various data entry, data gathering, and data analysis tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience Only:

Four (4) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position

OR

Education and Experience:

A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to four (4) years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of both federal and state statutes and regulations about petroleum storage tanks

  • Competent in OPS policies for the Petroleum Storage Tank Committee and how to apply them

  • Competent in CDLE/State Controller policies regarding payments

  • Adobe, Google Suites, Microsoft Office, CORE, COSTIS-IA, and Salesforce navigation

  • Knowledge of PSTF Reimbursement Application Package processes

  • Knowledge of the PSTC Reasonable Cost Guidelines

  • Knowledge of the PSTC Policies

  • Knowledge of the Petroleum Storage Tank Fund and the Petroleum Storage Tank Committee.
