    ABOUT THE ROLE

    A growing alternative investments platform is seeking a Fund Accountant to support a diverse portfolio of private investment funds. This role offers exposure to fund accounting, financial reporting, investor activity, and operational processes across a variety of alternative investment structures.

    The ideal candidate will bring experience from fund accounting, public accounting, or financial services accounting and be interested in building a long-term career within the alternative investments industry.

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual fund financial statements.
    • Calculate and maintain NAVs, investor allocations, and capital account balances.
    • Process capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, and redemptions.
    • Perform cash reconciliations and maintain fund general ledger activity.
    • Support portfolio investment accounting, valuation, and performance reporting.
    • Coordinate with fund managers, investors, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
    • Assist with year-end audits and preparation of supporting schedules.
    • Support investor reporting and client deliverables.
    • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting deadlines.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 2+ years of experience in fund accounting, public accounting, or financial services accounting.
    • Experience with private equity, hedge funds, private credit, venture capital, or other alternative investment structures preferred.
    • Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
    • CPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
    • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
    • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
