We are seeking a Software Configuration Engineer to support the development, configuration, and delivery of enterprise software solutions. This role will focus on managing development and test environments, maintaining code baselines, supporting build and delivery processes, and troubleshooting technical issues.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Java, Python, AWS, and software configuration management and is comfortable collaborating across engineering and technology teams. Experience with AI or machine learning technologies is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze software and hardware configurations across development and test environments.
• Create, maintain, and manage application builds and code baselines.
• Support software configuration management, build, and delivery processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve configuration management systems and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot technical and environment-related issues and communicate solutions effectively.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering and technology teams to ensure solutions meet technical and business requirements.
• Maintain documentation and provide project status updates, metrics, and technical reporting.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and recommend enhancements to engineering practices.
• Provide guidance and informal mentorship to junior team members.
• Follow established technology policies, security controls, and software development standards.
• Ensure deliverables meet established quality, security, and performance expectations.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on Java development experience.
• Hands-on Python programming experience.
• Experience working within AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with software configuration management.
• Experience managing code baselines across development and test environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and cross-functional stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with artificial intelligence or machine learning technologies.
• Experience improving or automating build, configuration, or software delivery processes.
• Familiarity with modern cloud-based development and deployment practices.
