Job DetailsJob type: Direct, permanent
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, hybrid. Four days on-site and one day remote.
Location: Orlando, FL (in-person four days per week)
Salary: $75K-$80K plus benefits

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver quality classroom and lab instruction for assigned courses within the approved surgical technology curriculum
- Develop lectures, labs, and learning experiences that help all students meet course objectives
- Grade papers and tests promptly, and follow standardized (blueprint) course materials where applicable
- Prepare and submit course syllabi per institutional deadlines and follow approved course outlines and textbooks
- Complete required academic documentation for each student, such as clinical evaluations and competency records, by established deadlines
- Post accurate student participation information and submit official grades each term
- Support curriculum development, course objectives, and evaluation measures, and help maintain compliance with accreditation, federal, and state standards
- Advise students, be accessible before and after class, and support retention efforts
- Take part in committees, faculty meetings, advisory boards, graduation ceremonies, and the annual planning and performance review process
- Complete scholarly and service activities, including a community service project each year
- Keep current with best practices in the field and with classroom technology, including mandatory learning-platform training
- Attend at least 2 professional development activities and 2 in-services per year
- Help orient and mentor new faculty as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (any field)
- Graduate of a surgical technology program accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accrediting agency
- Active NBSTSA (CST) certification. Certifications from other bodies will not be accepted.
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience in the last 5 years as an operating room scrub, a surgical technology instructor, or a combination of both
- Strong communication and technology skills
- Prior teaching experience preferred
