Job Requirements
  • Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
  • Certifications Requirements:
    - Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnograph Technologists (or ability to obtain within one year of service)
    - Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care or equivalent
  • Experience Requirements:
    - Experience in sleep disorder testing and polysomnography preferred but not required
    - Prior experience in respiratory therapy or related fields beneficial
    - Ability to interpret sleep study results is desirable
  • Other Requirements:
    - Knowledge of sleep lab equipment and procedures
    - Strong communication and patient education skills
    - Ability to work days and adapt to hospital environment

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise all sleep lab activities, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to protocol
  • Schedule and monitor sleep disorder testing, including polysomnography (PSG), MSLT, and MWT
  • Score, evaluate, and archive polysomnography studies while maintaining accurate documentation
  • Maintain and troubleshoot sleep lab equipment to ensure optimal functionality
  • Consult with providers, patients, and healthcare teams regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and study outcomes
