We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a close-knit Obstetrics / Labor & Delivery team at a rural, critical access hospital near Port Angeles, Washington. This role is ideal for nurses who value community-focused care, meaningful patient relationships, and the opportunity to practice a broad scope of OB nursing in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Position Overview:
As an OB RN, you will provide hands-on, patient-centered care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn services. Nurses in this setting play a vital role in supporting families through some of lifes most important moments while working collaboratively with providers and interdisciplinary teams. Flexibility, strong clinical judgment, and comfort responding to emergent situations are key in this rural care environment.
Schedule:
Full-time, 5 eight-hour shifts per week
Day, evening, and night shifts available
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive obstetric nursing care using the nursing process
Perform maternal and fetal assessments, including fetal heart monitoring
Assist with labor management, deliveries, and postpartum recovery
Provide newborn care and patient/family education
Respond calmly and effectively to obstetric emergencies
Collaborate closely with physicians and ancillary staff
Maintain required competencies, certifications, and documentation
Qualifications:
Active Washington State RN license
BLS required
NRP required within 6 months of hire
Fetal Monitoring certification within 6 months of hire or during orientation
Associates Degree in Nursing required (BSN preferred)
Prior OB or Labor & Delivery experience preferred
Rural or critical access experience is a plus, but not required

Hourly pay range: $39$73/hour (based on experience)
