Full-Time OR Tech West of Albuquerque, NM
Connected Health Care is seeking an experienced Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) for a full-time opportunity with one of our valued healthcare partners in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This is a great opportunity for an experienced OR Tech to join a collaborative surgical team in a welcoming community surrounded by beautiful Southwestern scenery.
Job Description
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for procedures.
- Assist surgeons, nurses, and other surgical staff during procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control standards.
- Pass instruments and supplies during surgical procedures.
- Assist with patient positioning and preparation.
- Perform surgical counts and maintain accurate documentation.
- Clean, organize, and restock operating rooms between procedures.
- Help ensure efficient OR turnover and a safe surgical environment.
- Work collaboratively with the surgical and healthcare team.
Requirements
- Previous Operating Room Technician / OR Tech experience required.
- Hospital or acute-care OR experience strongly preferred.
- Orthopedic OR experience highly desirable.
- OB surgical experience highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Education & Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Surgical technology or OR Tech training preferred.
- Surgical technology certification is a plus but is not required.
- Relevant OR Tech experience is required.
