    Location: Norwich, VT
    Position: Live-out
    Schedule: 4–5 days/week — approx. 9:30/10:00 AM arrival to 5:30/6:00 PM
    Guaranteed Hours: 30-40 hours
    Compensation: $30–35/hour, depending on experience
    Start Date: Flexible; targeting mid-to-late August

    Position Overview
    A warm, active nanny and household assistant for three children (ages 5, 8, and 10) in Norwich, VT. This is a full-day role: mornings and early afternoons focus on household support and meal prep, transitioning to school pickup and childcare through the afternoon. The family values a proactive, organized caregiver who keeps the household running smoothly and the children engaged.

    Responsibilities

    • Laundry, tidying, and general household upkeep
    • Meal prep and cooking dinner for the family (meals are allergy-conscious; the household eats the same food)
    • Grocery shopping
    • School pickup and walk home
    • Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, outings, and playdates (hosting and attending)
    • Drive children to instrument lessons, sports, and activities
    • Help the youngest child with reading
    • Support the family's gentle-parenting approach — clear boundaries, calm redirection, explaining rather than harsh discipline

    Requirements

    • Valid driver's license; confident winter driving
    • Comfortable driving a family-provided vehicle
    • Strong swimmer, comfortable swimming with children
    • CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain
    • Current flu vaccination
    • Comfortable managing a child's food allergy, including carrying an epipen and preparing allergy-safe meals
    • Reliable, patient, organized, detail-oriented, and active
    • Occasional overnight availability a plus (not required)
    • Must be able to provide 3–5 professional references
