Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare has immediate openings for Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapists in Northern New Jersey to provide In-Home and Center-Based weekly therapeutic services for youth with mental health disorders.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to make a meaningful impact while working with a diverse population of children and adolescents with exceptional needs. This position also includes mentoring newly hired therapists and interns, shaping the clinical growth of our team.

What is Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare looking for in Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapists?

We are seeking highly skilled, licensed therapists with at least 5 years of clinical experience who are passionate about providing therapeutic services and mentoring the next generation of clinicians. Key Responsibilities

  • Providing individual In-home therapy and Telehealth therapy sessions.
  • Performing bio-psycho- social assessments is a plus.
  • Implement coping and social skills, anger management and reduce risk behaviors such as SIB or physical aggression.
  • Work to improve youth and caretaker decision-making skills to manage in-home behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate effectively and consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and/or professionals from other disciplines who also work to support the youth and family.
  • Mentor newly hired therapists and interns, providing guidance, feedback, and support in clinical practices.
  • Submit all required documentation and paperwork within designated time frames (intake, treatment plan, DAP notes, etc.)
  • Attend monthly meetings and submit mandatory clinical documentation.
  • Must be able to complete or willing to train for Bio-Psycho-Social assessments.

Requirements

  • Must have a master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields
  • Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT); candidates with out-of-state licenses may be considered if reciprocity applies.
  • Minimum 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience working with youth with mental health disorders
  • Experience mentoring, supervising, or training junior therapists and interns
  • Has Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
  • Has some training or willing to complete Crisis Intervention Training (e.g. CSOC Training)
  • Has post-internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders with clinical experience
  • Has experience with creating treatment planning, treatment goals setting, progress notes, and initial assessments.
  • Has experience in various counseling approaches: CBT, DBT, Trauma Response, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused
  • Knows how to use the DSM-5-TR for Assessments and Diagnosis
  • Must have experience providing positive behavior supports.
  • Must have prior experience working with children ages 3-20, and working with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus.
  • Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
  • Must pass all state and federal background checks
    • A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.
  • Must submit resume plus copies of master’s degree, with a copy of NJ or Certification or License.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor H-1B or other employment visas at this time.
  • State Reciprocity considered, but candidate must be within 25–30 minutes of service areas
  • Availability during after-school hours (12 PM–8 PM); weekend flexibility is a plus
