Full Time - IT Support SpecialistProv is seeking a dependable, service-oriented IT Support Specialist to provide day-to-day technical support to employees across our organization. This position will serve as a first point of contact for hardware, software, account, and technical support issues while helping maintain a reliable and secure technology environment.The ideal candidate is a problem solver who enjoys helping people, communicates well, and is eager to develop their technical skills. This is an entry-level opportunity with the potential to take on increasing responsibility in areas such as networking, systems administration, security, and IT operations.Essential Responsibilities - Employee Technical SupportProvide first-level technical support to employees by phone, email, chat, and in person.Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, printer, and other technology issues.Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.Assist employees with Microsoft 365, email, Teams/Slack, and other business applications.Create, update, and maintain IT support tickets and documentation.Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate IT team member or vendor.User and Account AdministrationAssist with onboarding and offboarding employees, including equipment setup, account access, and collection of IT assets.Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access to systems.Assist with password resets, MFA, and other account-related issues.Maintain accurate records of IT equipment and assigned assets.Help ensure former employees have appropriate system access removed promptly.IT OperationsAssist with maintaining Prov's computers, network equipment, printers, phones, and other technology infrastructure.Support remote employees and Prov locations outside of the main office.Assist with basic network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi, connectivity, switches, and related equipment.Help monitor and maintain IT systems and services.Work with technology vendors and service providers when technical assistance is required.Assist with software installations, updates, patches, and equipment deployments.Security & ComplianceFollow established IT security policies and procedures.Assist with maintaining endpoint security and device management.Help identify and report potential security concerns, phishing attempts, and suspicious activity.Support employee security awareness and best practices.Maintain confidentiality of company and employee information.Other ResponsibilitiesMaintain clear and current technical documentation.Participate in IT projects and technology implementations.Assist with office moves, equipment installations, and technology upgrades.Provide a high level of customer service to Prov employees.Perform other IT-related duties as assigned. Qualifications - RequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent.1+ year of experience providing technical support or equivalent education, training, or hands-on experience.Basic understanding of Windows computers and Microsoft 365.Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and customer-service skills.Ability to prioritize multiple requests and manage competing deadlines.Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate an issue.Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.Qualifications - PreferredAssociate degree or technical certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certification.Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.Experience with Active Directory or Microsoft Entra ID.Experience with endpoint/device management.Experience supporting multiple office locations or remote employees.Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.Experience with ticketing/help-desk systems.Skills & AttributesThe successful candidate will be:Service-oriented - Enjoys helping others and provides a positive experience even when users are frustrated.A problem solver - Can methodically troubleshoot an issue rather than simply looking for someone else to fix it.Curious - Wants to understand how technology works and continuously develop new skills.Reliable - Follows through on commitments and takes ownership of problems.Communicative - Can explain technical issues in a way that non-technical employees can understand.Organized - Keeps accurate records, follows processes, and manages multiple requests effectively.Security-minded - Understands the importance of protecting company and employee information.Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000 annually, depending on qualifications, experience, certifications, and demonstrated technical skills.Prov offers a competitive benefits package and a collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional growth and increased responsibility.Equal Employment OpportunityProv is an equal opportunity employer.
