About Our Family

We're a busy, warm, and down-to-earth household based in Austin. Our family is growing: we currently have two little ones under two and a third on the way. We also have a beloved ten-year-old dog who may bark a bit, but spends most of the day “at work” with dad in the detached backyard office. With one parent navigating a professional transition, one home full-time with soon to be three kids under three, and a recent move into our new home, we are at a stage in life where we are constantly trying to catch up and also plan ahead. It's a lot to juggle, and we are excited to find meaningful support.

We love our new home, but are still in the process of building out thoughtful organizational systems throughout the house. Our goal is to create a space that feels calm, functional, and easy to maintain in the middle of the beautiful chaos that comes with young kids. We have nanny support in the home and are building a strong team around our family. We also have nearby family who loves to help. We care deeply about the people who work with us, getting to know them, and creating a respectful, professional, and warm working environment.

Ultimately, our goal is to be truly intentional with our time and space so we can be fully present with our children. Our household already has several moving parts (childcare coverage across the day, vendor relationships, meal services, and more), and we're looking for a steady, proactive partner who can help quarterback the home-support side of things so both parents and the childcare team can stay focused on the kids.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are the kind of person who walks into a room and immediately sees what needs to be done and does it. You don't wait to be told. You notice the diaper bag is low, you restock it. You see the playroom is unmanageable, you find a solution and present it. You treat this work as a career, not just a job, and it shows in how you carry yourself, how you approach each day, and the genuine pride you take in this work.

You are deeply organized. You also have a genuine eye for design and function that allows you to build systems that look great and truly work. You can make the garage make sense. You can transform the laundry room from chaos into calm. You are efficient, never idle, and are always thinking ten steps ahead.

You work beautifully alongside others (nannies, a parent at home, a dad popping in between calls, and a helpful grandparent) and love babies and kids. You understand that this isn't a childcare-focused role, but are intuitive and always ready to step in to hold a baby or entertain a toddler when you notice the need. You know that asking for help can be difficult, and you are confident enough to take initiative with tasks that make life easier for a family.

You are also flexible. Life with multiple young children is joyfully unpredictable, and you take that in stride while still holding the structure that makes the household run.
