Position Overview
The Assistant Clinical Director will support daily clinical operations while also maintaining a patient caseload. This individual will work closely with leadership teams to ensure quality patient care, staff support, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency within the home health and hospice program.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in home health and hospice settings as needed
- Assist with oversight of daily clinical operations and workflow coordination
- Support clinical staff through mentoring, education, and leadership guidance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Assist in maintaining compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards
- Participate in care planning, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
- Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Support staff scheduling, patient assignments, and operational needs
- Help implement policies and procedures that promote patient-centered care
- Serve as a clinical resource for nursing and support staff
Education & Certification Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Home health and/or hospice experience preferred
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience required
- BLS certification required
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills required
- Ability to balance clinical responsibilities with administrative leadership duties
- Knowledge of home health and hospice regulations and standards preferred
