Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in Myers Park in finding a Full-Time Family Assistant for their 2-year-old daughter. The Family Assistant will typically be needed Monday–Friday, 12:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m. Beginning in mid-spring 2027, the schedule will transition to Monday–Friday, 10:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
The family is seeking a gentle, nurturing, proactive, and highly dependable professional who enjoys both childcare and the household-management aspects of a true Family Assistant role. This individual will work in close partnership with a stay-at-home mom, with responsibilities naturally shifting between childcare and household support depending on the family’s needs throughout the day.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who notices what needs to be done, takes initiative, independently manages recurring responsibilities, and follows tasks through to completion without needing daily direction. The family values open communication and is looking for someone who is collaborative, flexible, and comfortable working as part of a team.
When providing childcare, the Family Assistant should bring a warm, creative, and developmentally appropriate approach. The family prioritizes engaging, screen-free activities such as arts and crafts, imaginative play, reading, singing, outdoor play, and Montessori-inspired learning that supports the child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
The Family Assistant should also enjoy planning and participating in community outings, including visits to The Bunny Hive, playgrounds, libraries, and other local activities and outdoor spaces.
This is a true Family Assistant position combining hands-on childcare with meaningful household support. The Family Assistant and Mom will work collaboratively throughout the day, with responsibilities shifting between childcare and household tasks based on the family’s needs. When the Family Assistant is solely responsible for the child, the child’s care and safety are always the first priority.
The family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping a household run smoothly and is comfortable taking ownership of recurring responsibilities rather than waiting to be assigned individual tasks. This includes partnering with Mom on family meal planning, grocery shopping, dinner preparation, laundry, organization, household errands, and maintaining the family’s daily routines.
This position is ideal for someone who values a collaborative, team-oriented environment and is excited to develop a long-term relationship with a family that may welcome a second child in the future.
