SERVPRO Team Dobson is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented
Day Shift General Cleaner to join our team at
Youngstown State University. If you take pride in keeping facilities clean, safe, and welcoming, this is a great opportunity to become part of a company that values hard work and reliability.
As a General Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of university facilities by performing routine janitorial and custodial services. Successful candidates are dependable, motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality results.
Primary Responsibilities and Expectations include, but are not limited to:
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop all flooring.
- Dust work surfaces, furniture, equipment, and high‑touch areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including fixtures, partitions, counters, mirrors, floors, and walls.
- Restock restroom supplies (paper products and soap).
- Clean entrance glass, interior glass, and reflective surfaces.
- Remove trash and recyclables; replace liners as needed.
- Report building or equipment maintenance concerns promptly.
- Maintain an organized janitorial inventory; restock supplies and equipment as needed.
- Keep cleaning equipment clean, safe, and functional.
- Follow all cleaning schedules, work orders, and SERVPRO® guidelines.
- Ensure all completed tasks meet high cleanliness and safety standards.
- Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with supervisors, technicians, and the site manager.
- Work cooperatively with team members to ensure facility cleanliness standards are met.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude and contribute to a supportive team environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and in SERVPRO uniform.
- Able to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crouching for the duration of the shift.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | No overtime required
This is a Full-Time position.
