Daily Cleaning & Sanitation

• Restrooms: Disinfect and sanitize toilets, urinals, sinks, and mirrors; restock soap and paper supplies.
• Floors: Sweep, mop, and vacuum classrooms, hallways, and administrative offices.
• Trash & Waste: Empty all classroom and common-area trash receptacles, and bag waste for disposal.
• High-Touch Surfaces: Clean and sanitize door handles, light switches, water fountains, and cafeteria tables. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

️ Maintenance & Safety

• Hazard Cleanup: Swiftly respond to spills, bodily fluid cleanup, and broken glass to maintain student safety.
• Minor Repairs: Replace light bulbs, fix broken desks, unblock sinks, and perform basic handy-work.
• Reporting: Identify and report larger structural, electrical, or plumbing issues to the administration or facility head.
• Compliance: Handle and mix cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) guidelines. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Security & Campus Operations

• Securing the Building: Lock and unlock designated doors, check windows, and arm/disarm security alarms.
• Event Preparation: Set up and dismantle chairs and tables for assemblies, sporting events, and parent-teacher meetings.
• Groundskeeping: Clear exterior walkways of litter, and manage seasonal duties like snow shoveling, salting icy paths, or lawn mowing. [1, 2]

️ Periodic Deep Cleaning (e.g., Summer/Winter Breaks)

• Floor Restoration: Strip, wax, seal, and buff tile floors; shampoo and steam-clean carpets.
• Detail Cleaning: Wash walls, clean out lockers, and deep clean air handling vents.
• Inventory: Restock janitorial closets and manage heavy supply orders
