Full-Time Custodian

The Darlington School District is seeking a full time custodian. This is a full time position with a benefit package that includes: health insurance, participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System as well as PTO and sick days.

Under the supervision of the Head of Maintenance, the custodian follows the daily cleaning schedules at the assigned building, including but not limited to, classrooms, kitchen, office areas, bathrooms, storage areas, and entrances. The custodian may also be responsible for assigned general maintenance.

Other duties: Using the cleaning checklist, perform all necessary daily, weekly, and monthly assigned cleaning; perform daily building checks, weekend building checks (one weekend per month), and holiday building checks as assigned by supervisor using provided checklist; use proper personal protective equipment supplied by the school during all cleaning activities and while in the presence of animals, vermin, or insects. Reports to Supervisor: need for cleaning equipment or supplies, water leaks or any other maintenance issues, health and safety hazards found in daily routine.

The custodian will perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
